RAP Design Animation

thl

In partnership with IndigeDesignLabs, we brought motion to thl’s second Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Design. This project was created in collaboration with a talented team of aspiring First Nations designers, aged 13-19, under the mentorship of Leigh Harris, from ingeous studios and Red Ochre Republic.

The animation takes viewers on a journey, following a motorhome through the Australian landscape. This visual narrative reinforces thl’s commitment to responsible tourism and celebrates the richness and diversity of Australian culture.

Key design elements, such as billabong and lagoon icons, were thoughtfully crafted to illustrate the reconciliation initiatives thl has embraced. The animation closes with the thl Acknowledgement of Country icon, reflecting that all roads lead to their RAP commitment.

For the sound design, we worked with the two First Nations studios to source natural sounds of Australian wildlife, recorded in Cairns where the studios are based.
